Who We Are & What We Do

Can-Do Albany provides support to young people focused on building the skills they need to thrive, not just survive. Can-Do Albany works from a person-centered holistic approach, individually tailoring support whilst gaining an understanding of contributing influences in a young person’s life such as family, environment and culture. By combining evidence-based practice with the relational, strengths-based nature of mentoring, we empower children and young adults, reassure families, and support schools.

How We Operate

Can-Do Albany’s support is framed with the view of offering reliable and measurable outcomes in areas such as social skills development, emotional regulation, school engagement, community participation, employment readiness, and other life skills associated with transitioning toward independent living.

The support offered by Can-Do can be delivered in a range of modes, such as 1:1 mentoring, group programs, online sessions and school holiday activities.

Can-Do Albany works with the NDIS Code of Conduct, NDIS Practice Guidelines and Child Safe Commitments to ensure support is delivered in a way that protects the rights and choice and control of the Young People, supports capacity building, and ensures their voice is heard.
